A Contemporary House Proposal: Structural Analysis of Wood and Steel Bungalows

The housing typologies that meet shelter and other basic needs are diverse, bungalows one of them. These buildings generally single-story mostly use wooden building materials. This paper introduces a new construction technique using steel, which is more durable than typical bungalow houses. design aimed to create stock based on the logic mass production, where modular steel bars can be prefabricated transported site. An architectural with instead hexagonal plan rectangular was developed. Structures designed materials were compared structural analysis method. Structural designs wood S235 grade performed SAP2000 software. structures evaluated according displacement, modal periods, self-weight, their static suitability tested. developed because maintain its strength for long time has higher modulus elasticity. results showed exhibit similar behavior under same cross-sections, but structure come forefront as it lighter in terms self-weight.
